Prior to Music on Main, she was Ballet BC’s Company Manager, responsible for overall execution of planning, touring and company management. She also spent six years working in the artistic and education departments at Vancouver Opera, where she was responsible for the management of the Vancouver Opera In Schools touring ensemble program, new work development and workshops, and artistic planning. She has been involved with various other arts organizations including Gateway Theatre, the BC Choral Federation, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, and Phoenix Chamber Choir. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Production/Design and Music from the University of British Columbia, and begins part-time Master of Business Administration studies from Durham University in April of 2017.
