Lynn Trinh is the Kootenay Screen-Based Industry (KSBI) Regional Program Manager. Lynn is excited to continue developing a thriving screen-based industry that is not only accessible and inclusive to a diverse range of storytellers but also supports emerging filmmakers and locally-produced content. Lynn studied Media, Information and Technoculture at Western University (London, ON) and took courses in film studies, screenwriting, digital video, audio, and photography. She has lived in the Kootenay region since 2014. Since arriving in Nelson in 2016, she has continued to fuel her creative passions in the Digital Arts and New Media program at Selkirk College. She has also been involved in the community as a freelance videographer and graphic designer. Prior to her role at the Civic Theatre, Lynn worked as the Digital Media and Content Lead at Shambhala Music Festival, as well as the Digital Marketing Lead at the Kootenay Co-op. Her short documentary on Asian youth and their experiences living in Nelson, recently screened at the Capitol Theatre, fueling conversation about cultural diversity.
