Amber Andersen is the Director of the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EAGM) in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Over the past five years she has worked in both curatorial and directorial capacities at the EAGM. Her primary focus has been on fostering innovative programming to attract new audiences to her institution, while also developing the profile of the art gallery and museum both provincially and nationally. She has previously worked at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, in Brandon, Manitoba as an Art Educator and later as the Curator of Exhibitions and Education from 2007 - 2010.
She is passionate and invested in providing professionally curated contemporary art exhibitions to rural populations. Andersen received her Masters of Fine arts in visual arts from York University, Toronto, Ontario, in 2005 and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual arts from the University of Regina, Regina, Saskatchewan in 2003.
