TRANSFERRING KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

“The T2L program is designed for cultural managers to learn from industry leaders and for leaders to transfer their valuable knowledge; a historically welcoming format for Indigenous peoples to engage. This way of working together is paramount to ensuring the longevity of our cultural sector.”

Cynthia Lickers-Sage, General Manager Kaha:wi Dance Theatre

Mentorship

90 % of participants rated the mentorship as very good/excellent. Participant interviews indicated that this was the highlight of the program. 100% feel they can continue to call on their mentor past the T2L program end date.

T2L’s mentorships are designed to build a relationship between mid-career cultural leaders and executive leaders. We strive to create a relationship that is based on mutual trust and respect and that offers reciprocal learning for both the mentee and the mentor.

Our mentors are experienced cultural executives who are trusted advisors and role models – people who have “been there” and “done that”. Throughout our 8-month program, mentors will support and encourage mentees by offering suggestions and knowledge through on-line and/or in-person sessions.
